1) Abstract
"You Are Beautiful" is an interactive installation which encourages the viewer to experience happiness through the lens of an animated kaleidoscope.
The beautiful images and sounds in a kaleidoscope are augmented reflections of the color and shapes in the real world by real-time video capture.
Participants have the opportunity to cultivate a few moments of happiness by experiencing abstracted patterns and peaceful wind chime which are influenced by the participants themselves.

2. Statement
"You Are Beautiful" is an interactive installation which encourages the viewer to briefly experience happiness through the lens of an animated kaleidoscope.
Participants have the opportunity to cultivate a few moments of happiness by experiencing abstracted patterns and peaceful wind chime which are influenced by the participants themselves.
Each individual is a uniquely beautiful combination of physical, emotional, and spiritual characteristics.
Unfortunately, we often forget about this beauty.
I believe we can enjoy a moment of happiness by recalling the presence of this beauty.
Zen Buddism defines that happiness relies on three things which are;
1) Appreciate who you are
2) See beautiful things
3) Enjoy small things around you
In addition, the image through kaleidoscope is reflected, repeated and rotated to make beautiful and abstract pattern.
Everything including your face, table, streets and even trash looks beautiful.
So I made a connection between the Zen Buddist approach to happiness and the ability of a kaleidoscope to impart a beautiful symmetry to the image within its lens.
Seeing aspects of one's image in a kaleidoscope can give a person the opportunity to experience the beauty of themselves, things around them and the minute details within it.
I hope the viewers to enjoy the beauty of this piece and like it even more when they discover that the beauty of the image is being created by their image.
I strive to make beautiful things which reflect people's inherent beauty.
My fascination with kaleidoscope turned it into a medium that allows me to pursue my life-long goal of helping people happy.
